Each box represents the number of grommets you would like along each side of the tarp. Example: if a tarp has a length of 10ft and has a 5 in Length Side 1 and nothing in Length Side 2, then there will be 5 grommets spaced 24 inches apart along the one length of the tarp, and no grommets on the other side.
